natural ways to get rid of bags under the eyes image

It’s common to see several blogs addressing the natural ways to get rid of bags under the eyes, and the reason for that isn’t far-fetched. Whether you’re in your twenties, thirties, or forties, I’m sure you do not want bags under your eyes, do you?

Funnily, having bags under the eyes is never an illness or a cause for concern, yet no one wants them. This is because eye bags make you look and feel old — which is what no one wants.

Recommending 8 Easy, Natural Ways To Get Rid Of Bags Under The Eyes

Also known as under-eye-puffiness, the condition of having puffy eyes or dark bags under the eyes is mostly caused by old age because our facial tissues degenerate and slacken as we grow older. This can be worsened by other things like eczema, genetics, sleeping posture, and seasonal allergies.

While it may be challenging to stop eye tissues from sagging or weakening, we can tweak our lifestyle such that our eyes remain young and fresh.

Getting rid of these bags isn’t rocket science, and is in fact, quite easy. All it takes is some lifestyle decisions and specific homemade remedies, and that’s about it.

Below, we look at 8 easy, natural ways to remove under-eye-puffiness, here we go.

Attend To Your Allergies

Except you’re still in the cradle, you definitely know the symptoms and seasons of your allergies, and this is typically associated with watery, puffy eyes.

Try out natural remedies, for example, essential oils, to prevent or cater to your allergies even before they begin.

A great tip is to have a bottle of allergy remedy handy at all times because some allergies may show up when you would never expect.

Go Easy On The Salt

Whereas no one can deny the health benefits of salt, it is common knowledge that it is often associated with high blood pressure and other negative effects, which in your case is puffy eyes or fluid retention, or the both. Luckily, salt isn’t very compulsory these days.

There are several tasty and nutritious diets that eliminate the need for salt in foods. Fresh vegetables can be particularly useful as they effectively curb the thirst for salt.

Skip foods with high salt levels, for example, pizza and certain soups. However, if you must use salt, stick to undiluted Himalayan sea salt, or nothing else.

Exercise Against Those Bags

The benefits of exercise to your body are numerous. General exercise slows down the aging process and contributes significantly to glowing, adorable skin, but specialized face exercises will benefit the face even better.

Experts in aestheticism have encouraged practicing face yoga, which involves slow, purposeful exercises that tighten and tone the eye tissues.

Regular yoga can be helpful, as well. Inverted poses, such as backbends and shoulder stands, may improve circulation to the face, thereby removing excess fluid and, consequently, swelling.

Adjust Your Typical Sleep Position

How do you sleep every night? It might be time for a review.

Laying on your back is a great sleeping posture when the focus is on eye bags. This is because this position is likely to stop gravity from building up fluid around the eyes.

Getting a good sleep pillow is necessary as well because it will help you to sleep better. Well, what’s the connection?

The body rests and recharges during sleep, and so if you’re unable to get adequate sleep, there’s the possibility that your eye tissues are weary and continuous use will cause them to lose firmness faster than normal.

Get A Neti Pot

A Neti pot is a timeless remedy aimed at curing puffs and circles under the eyes. It is an Ayurvedic medicine originating from Indian that looks like a typical small teapot. A Neti pot purges the sinuses of surplus moisture or fluid caused by infections, cold or seasonal allergies.

To use a Neti pot, all you have to do is fill one nostril with water and drain it out the other. This experience may be odd in the beginning, but it is refreshing and effective. I advise that you do this over a bathroom sink.

Take Off Makeup Before Hitting the Hay

Having makeup on your face for long hours, much more when you’re doing nothing but sleeping, can cause eye irritations. As such, they may become red, puffy, or watery. Experts recommend that you remove every touch of makeup from your face before going to bed.

Ordinarily, wearing makeup for hours will leave you uncomfortable, so why not take it off?

There’s a lot of good to doing so. You can take off your makeup with soap and water or any ideal cleanser, such as a disinfected tissue.

Reduce or Stop Alcoholic Consumption

Excessive alcohol drains the body of its natural fluid and therefore causes skin or body dehydration. When your skin is dehydrated for a long while, the area around your eyes becomes sunken and dark. And before you know it, it’s permanent.

Also, alcohol often leads to red, puffy eyes, thereby wearing out eye tissues rapidly. A better alternative to alcohol is water. When you take a lot of water, your skin is hydrated and fresher. This will add some glow to the area encircling your eyes.

However, if you cannot or do not want to do away completely with alcohol, a cup daily is the ideal recommendation.

Quench The Cigarettes

There is enough research to suggest that smoking cigarettes weakens and dries out facial skin. Additionally, it is a sure way to hasten up the aging process of areas around the eyes.

Cigarettes contain toxic contents that may cause dark patches under the eyes in addition to a droopy, wrinkled appearance. Addiction can be difficult to quit, but you must do so for healthier eyes.

Finishing The Natural Ways To Get Rid Of Bags Under The Eyes

The above discussed natural ways to get rid of bags under the eyes are easy and straightforward to keep to. So, unless you’re keen on looking much older than you are, correcting under-eye-puffiness is just a glance away.
