United States: Astronomers have made an amazing discovery about a small moon that has been orbiting Earth for the past two months. It turns out that this mini moon might actually have come from Earth! This surprising find has got scientists excited because it challenges what we know about moons and how they form.
In September 2023 this body was detected by astronomers, and it has been given the classification number 2024 PT5. It was initially believed just to be a simple asteroid when in fact it poses several features that set it apart.
