United States: Drone shows are seen as a cleaner alternative to fireworks, but also things went wrong during one earlier this month. About like there are almost 2,000 drones malfunctioned and fell from the sky during a drone and also the firework show in Quanzhou. The show was meant to actually celebrate the history, culture, and women of the region, but instead, it turned into a disaster.
As reported by the Jalopnik, to do this, Guo-Qiang associated a thousand flying drones with fireworks and lightening which drew large audiences to watch. The early parts were going well but once wind begin to blow it was terrible.
Videos of the show going viral seems to depict hundreds of the drones bumping into each other and falling down. The falling drones splashed into lakes in the area and left holes in the dust when they fell to the ground.
Onlookers also flee in an effort to avoid being struck by one of the drones, which might be as heavy as 2.5 pounds. Fortunately, no people were on the ground below the drone to be affected by it falling on them and no one up to this time have complained of any injury caused by the technical breakdown.
It has now become fashionable to speculate what might have led to the mass outage for the drones. On this, ABC believes it could have been due to high winds that caused the batteries of the drones to get depleted quicker. Influencers on social media also came up with theories that some thing called an “anti-drone gun” could have been used.
This outlet points out that some of the drones used in the show failed to report to the appropriate authorities or air traffic control department in the region. For that reason, the police regarded the drones as ‘rogue aircraft’ and it has been proposed that jamming guns were used.
The electronic weapons could non shut down a drone to a halt at a distance that averaged around one mile.
Neither of these theories have been substantiated by the Chinese authorities as the cause of the collapse of the drone show but an investigation to the incident has been launched.
